Starlink Mini Troubleshooting Guide - Field Edition

The purpose of this guide is to diagnose Starlink Mini hardware or connectivity issues on-site prior to escalating to OLBIS support.

Starlink Mini is powered by machine power. Ensure machine is keyed on to power Starlink before proceeding.   

STEP 1

Wi-Fi Network  

Using a laptop or mobile device scan for available Wi-Fi networks and look for the Starlink Wi-Fi SSID (Komatsulink).

If Starlink Wi-Fi SSID (Komatsulink) is found proceed to STEP 2.

If Starlink Wi-Fi SSID is not found proceed to STEP 1a HERE >

STEP 2

Connectivity

Connect to the Starlink Wi-Fi SSID. Open the Starlink App and check the dashboard which provides

real-time information about Starlink’s internet connection, including performance statistics, alerts

and device status.

 

If the device is “Online” and no issues are highlighted the Starlink is operational. If the device is “Offline” or there is poor signal proceed to STEP 3.

STEP 3

Satellite Signal

Use the Starlink App to check the device status and address any highlighted issues such as obstructions or firmware updates.

 

Note: Obstructions like trees, poles or buildings can interfere with satellite connection, causing

service interuptions.

 

If obstructions are present, use the app’s Obstruction Check results to relocate or clear

obstructions.

 

If the signal issue persists proceed to escalation by contacting OLBIS Starlink Support through the below link to submit a support request.
